Frequently asked questions
Reformer Pilates uses a unique machine called a Reformer, which provides resistance to help build strength, flexibility and balance.
Both Reformer and mat Pilates share the same core principles—think control, breath, alignment, and precision—but the Reformer takes things to another level. The Reformer is a specialist machine that uses springs, pulleys and a moving carriage to add resistance or support, depending on the exercise. It’s also fantastic for rehabilitation and progressing strength, as it can be tailored precisely to your body’s needs. Whether you're new to Pilates or a seasoned pro, the Reformer brings a dynamic, full-body experience.
Contoured is based within Bowden Hall, a beautiful old building situated on Bowden Lane, opposite the rear entrance to Rose Hill Primary School, Marple.
Our beautiful studio is a calm and uplifting space designed to help you unwind and reconnect.
